About the project

We’ve worked with designer and landscaper David Loy on numerous projects; somewhat unusually for us, this one was just a few miles from our home base in West Sussex. 

David’s design for this private garden relied almost entirely on our metal edging systems. These are made from corten, or weathering steel, which naturally forms a stable, rust-like surface layer after a few years’ exposure, eliminating any need for painting or other maintenance. 

Although it appears complex, all the edging in this garden is from our standard Series 2 and Series 3 ranges, with individual sections simply adapted to fit the multiple heights and radii required. The only bespoke element is a step in the base that accommodates an LED lighting strip. This project perfectly illustrates the versatility and possibilities of our metal edging systems, and the amazing effects that can be achieved using standard components alone. A fully bespoke option is also available if required.
