A striking Pergola structure for a private residence in Hampstead, designed by Fiona Lamb, installed by Belderbos Landscapes.
About the project
Working in collaboration with our client Fiona Lamb Design, we were commissioned to develop her design for the fabrication of this Pergola for a new garden for a private residence.
The structure consisted of 8 separate arch frames from aluminium box section. Aluminium was chosen as, unlike mild steel, aluminium box section is extruded and is square cornered for a crisp finish.
At 5.0m x 5.0m x 2.6m, it was fabricated from multiple sections joined using our socket and sleeve detail with concealed fixings for a sleek smooth finish.
To complete the look we used powder coating to provide a strong and durable finish in RAL 9017 Traffic Black.
Finally, base plates to each post were bolted down onto concrete foundations.
