A large sign for the main entrance of a new winery, comprising a series of corten panels laser-cut in-house.
About the project
We were commissioned by a new winery in Shropshire to produce several metal items, including a large sign for the main entrance. This comprised two sets of three panels, each measuring 2.5m high by 1.5m wide, in 10mm corten. Our in-house design engineers produced mock-ups in 3mm stainless steel to ensure the image and font could be accurately translated to the thicker corten without loss of detail.
The panels were laser-cut in-house, then fabricated with welded baseplates and bracing ribs. Prior to delivery, the panels were shot-blasted and pre-treated so they arrived on site with a consistent rust finish already in place.
