Galvanised Bespoke Planters
This series of high capacity, large scale planters were designed and manufactured for the newly refurbished Old Cattle Market shopping centre in Hereford. The design incorporates a cable trellis retaining system within the planter for cables connecting to timber beams above.
About the project
Large bespoke galvanised metal planters manufactured for the pedestrian areas of the newly refurbished Old Cattle Market shopping centre in Hereford. Each planter measured 2.5m long x 0.65m wide x 1.1m high.
Because the desired finish was natural galvanised, our seamed corner method of manufacture was used meaning all welding was done internally without damaging the external galvanised coating.
We developed a bracket system in the base of the planter for the connection of vertical cables to support climbing plants. These then connected to the structural timber frame work above each planter.
With limited budgets and time constraints the project was delivered both on time and on budget.
