About the project
We were delighted to be invited to collaborate with Bowles & Wyer on the design and fabrication of these bespoke interior planters and seating as part of the larger refurbishment scheme of 78 St James’s, London.
Being interior planters, particular focus had to be on irrigation and the control of water. A watertight construction in stainless steel ensured that not only could excess water be drained from a specific point, potential hanging water would not lead to internal corrosion of the planters.
The decorative laser cut panels provide concealed lighting and share the same pattern detail as those outside with concealed fixings for maintenance.
Iroko Seating is cantilevered on a support system mounted in the base of the planters. All fixings are concealed to ensure a perfect finish.
