The first stage of the manufacturing process is the punching of the planter components. Each part is "nested" during programming laying all parts out on to the sheet with the minimal waste possible.
The program is then transferred to one of our 2 punching machines. Punching at a rate of 900 holes per minute to tolerances of +/- 0.2mm, we can ensure the punched parts are perfectly accurate.
The punched parts are still "tagged" in the sheet, like an air-fix modeling kit. These parts are then broken out of the sheet, cleaned and inspected.
Once the inspection is complete, they move on to the next process, folding.
