Paint
A planter never really comes to life until it is painted. In most cases, each planter will go through a strict chemical cleaning and preparation process prior to receiving a hard wearing polyester powder coated finish. This can be done in any RAL colour in most any gloss level, or alternatively colours can be matched to the client's requirements.

Firstly, a self etching primer coat was applied both internally and externally which is very durable and removes the need for chemical etching and cleaning. Once dried, it is rubbed down and thoroughly cleaned to remove any defects.
The planter then receives its final finished top coat. The process is not automated and relies heavily on the skill and technique of the operator.
Once completed, the planters move into an oven where they are baked at 85 degrees centigrade for approximately 40 minutes that cures the paint and gives a robust and hard wearing finish.
On completion, all planters are allowed to cool and are then ready for final inspection prior to dispatch.
